APVMA member companies must be a corporation or division of a corporation whose business is manufacturing pressure vessels and/or heat exchangers in Alberta; are the holder of a current “U” stamp as per the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; have a registered professional engineer on permanent staff or on retainer; have conducted business on a regular basis for more than one full year; have demonstrated financial integrity and capability; honour contracts and specifications as quoted; provide the highest quality standards in the industry; and subscribe to sound business practices in the best interests of the customer and the manufacturer. The Alberta Pressure Vessel Manufacturers’ Association (APVMA) was formed in 1987 by members of Alberta’s pressure vessel and heat exchanger industry to provide a forum for communication and discussion on issues concerning the industry. The pressure equipment industry in Alberta produces world-class pressure vessels and heat exchangers for both Alberta and Canada-wide markets and exports product to the United States and more than 40 other countries around the globe. Alberta is clearly known for its pressure equipment industry!

2012 APVMA Golf Tournament

The 2012 APVMA “Partnership for Strength” golf tournament was held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Innisfail Golf Club in Innisfail, Alberta. The 154 golfers, a record, donated $2,750.00 in cash and the silent auction items generated an additional $775.00 for a total of $3,525.00. As this total is matched by the APVMA, a total of $7,050 will be donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation this year. Over the past nine years, a total of over $70,000.00 has been donated to the Calgary Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
